The impact of trauma on sexuality and sexual functioning
Sexual difficulties are often influenced by a combination of emotional, relational, psychological and physical factors. Many people experience feelings of shame, frustration, anxiety or isolation when sexual concerns arise, particularly when they begin to affect relationships and intimacy.
Therapy provides a confidential and supportive space to explore these concerns without judgement. Together, we can work towards understanding the factors contributing to the difficulty, improving communication and intimacy, reducing anxiety and building a more positive and fulfilling sexual relationship with yourself and, where relevant, your partner.
Compulsive Sexual Behaviour, Sex Addiction and Pornography Addiction Support.
I hold specialist training in Compulsive Sexual Behaviour and have completed a COSRT-accredited Diploma in Compulsive Sexual Behaviour.
Many people experiencing compulsive sexual behaviours describe feeling trapped in cycles of shame, secrecy and distress. These behaviours can affect relationships, self-esteem, emotional wellbeing and everyday functioning.
My approach focuses on understanding the underlying emotional, relational and psychological factors contributing to these patterns, rather than viewing them solely as behaviours that need to be controlled. Together, we explore healthier ways of managing emotions, developing self-awareness and creating lasting change.
I support individuals experiencing:
Compulsive sexual behaviours
Pornography addiction and problematic pornography use
Sex addiction concerns
Online sexual behaviours that feel out of control
Relationship difficulties linked to compulsive sexual behaviour
Shame and self-criticism related to sexual behaviour
Neurodivergence, Identity and Relationships

Neurodivergence, Identity and Relationships 〰️
Alongside my psychosexual work, I have a particular interest in neurodivergence, sexual intimacy and relationships.
I recognise that neurodivergent individuals may experience relationships, communication, sensory processing, intimacy and sexuality differently. Therapy can provide a supportive space to explore these experiences, understand individual needs and develop strategies that promote wellbeing and authentic connection.
My academic and clinical interests also include epistemic justice and improving accessibility within therapy, including the intersection between psychosexual therapy and Sign Language.
